1. Welcome

These terms and conditions apply to the company Exit Games BV, registered under VAT number BE 0773.622.411, with the following addresses:

2. Applicability

These Terms and Conditions apply to all reservations, purchases, and services provided by Exit Games via our website www.exitgames.be, by phone, email, or in person at one of our locations. By making a reservation or using our services, you declare that you have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions. Any booking (online or through any other means) with Exit Games BV constitutes the irrevocable acceptance of all our terms and rules, including our code of conduct and liability rules.


3. Reservations and Payments

Reserving or booking a game can be done online via our website, by email, or by phone. For physical quotations, online bookings always have priority over customers who approve a physical quotation.

Each game experience lasts a maximum of 60 minutes (except for Time Machine Race I & II). Immediately after the game, participants must leave the playing area as soon as possible. Each participant explicitly agrees to this in order not to disrupt the schedule for future participants.

All participants are expected to arrive at least 15 minutes before the game starts. Late arrivals may result in a shorter game duration or exclusion from participation, without any right to compensation or refund.


3.1. Reservations

Reservations can only be made online via our website, by phone, or in person. A reservation is only confirmed once you receive an email confirmation. The customer is responsible for correctly providing contact details. Exit Games is not liable for any errors in email addresses or phone numbers.

3.2. Payments

Payments can be made online via the available payment methods or on-site upon arrival. Some locations may require a deposit or full prepayment at the time of booking. This will be stated during the booking process. In the event of non-payment or failed payment, Exit Games reserves the right to cancel the reservation or refuse participation.


4. Cancellations and Modifications


4.1. Cancellation by the Customer

If you wish to modify or cancel a reservation, the following rules apply. You must always contact us by email or phone.

  • Up to 36 hours before the start of your booked game: Free cancellation or modification. If you paid online, the full amount will be refunded as a voucher.
  • Less than 36 hours before the start of your booked game: A 50% cancellation fee will be charged. No-show or late arrival (30 minutes after your scheduled start time for standard slots, or 15 minutes for adjusted slots): You will lose your right to participate, with no refund or compensation.


4.2. Cancellation by Exit Games

Exit Games BV reserves the right to modify or cancel a reservation at any time, without providing a reason. This may include force majeure situations (e.g., technical issues, safety concerns, or unexpected closures). In such cases, the customer will be contacted, and a suitable solution will be offered (a voucher for the full amount or an alternative date). However, no additional compensation can be claimed for cancellations initiated by Exit Games.


5. Participation and Conduct

Each participant agrees to fully comply with the instructions provided by the hosts (Game Masters). Failure to follow these instructions may result in immediate exclusion from the games, without any refund or compensation. The Game Masters have the right to intervene via camera surveillance or direct intervention during the game. They may also end the game immediately in case of inappropriate behavior. Participants who behave inappropriately will be asked to leave the premises, with no right to a refund or compensation.


5.1. Participation Conditions

All games, associated materials, and the gameplay itself remain the property of Exit Games BV and are protected by copyright. It is strictly prohibited to disclose any information before, during, or after participating in the games. During the events, we may take photos of participants. However, we always ask for explicit permission before using or publishing these images.


5.2. Code of Conduct

Each participant accepts that they will not be allowed to bring the following into the game rooms: Food or drinks Dangerous objects Mobile phones, tablets, smartphones Cameras, recording devices, or any other equipment capable of recording All such items must be stored in the designated lockers provided.

The Game Masters have the right to check compliance with these rules at any time. Violating these rules or displaying inappropriate behavior will result in immediate exclusion from the game without refund. Inappropriate behavior includes, but is not limited to:

  • Intoxication (alcohol or drugs)
  • Indoor smoking
  • Any form of aggression or intimidation towards the staff or other participants
  • Being excessively noisy
  • Causing intentional damage to the property or the games (intentional damage will be charged)
  • (Attempting to) steal objects from the games and/or the building
  • Not following the instructions or rules imposed by the Game Masters
  • Publicly disclosing or copying any information about the setup or operation of the games.


6. Liability and Safety

6.1. Liability

Participation in an escape room is at the participant's own risk. Exit Games is not liable for any damage, injury, or loss of personal belongings. Exit Games BV cannot be held responsible for any accidents that may occur. Although the games do not present any particular danger, each participant acknowledges that they are participating entirely at their own risk. Furthermore, the participant explicitly waives any right to compensation for any accident that occurs before, during, or after participation.

Any damage to Exit Games BV’s property caused by negligence or intentional behavior will be charged to the responsible participant. Exit Games BV reserves the right to recover any damages caused by participants. Exit Games BV cannot be held responsible for any loss of personal belongings, payment methods, clothing, etc. that occurs before, during, or after participation in our activities.


6.2. Safety

Our escape rooms are equipped with emergency buttons, allowing players to exit the room at any time. In case of emergency, you must always follow the staff’s instructions. Failure to comply with safety instructions may result in termination of participation without a refund.


7. Gift Cards

Exit Games gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and can be used for all escape rooms. Gift cards are non-exchangeable for cash and cannot be refunded. Lost or stolen gift cards will not be replaced.


8. Privacy and Personal Data

Participants explicitly consent to having their activities in the different rooms recorded. These recordings will be stored for a maximum of 28 days and then deleted. However, these images may be used to document and provide evidence of any intentional damage or inappropriate behavior. Personal data is only used for processing reservations and communicating with the customer. We respect your privacy and process your data in accordance with our​ privacybeleid.


9. Complaints and Disputes

Complaints can be submitted in writing within 7 days after the visit via escape@exitgames.be. We strive to handle complaints within 14 days. In case of a dispute, Belgian law applies, and the courts of Ghent have jurisdiction.


10. Changes to the Terms and Conditions

Exit Games reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. We always reserve the right to update or supplement these terms and conditions. These rules and conditions are subject to Belgian law and can only be contested before a Belgian court in case of a dispute. The latest version is always available on our website.
