So close… but he could never finish it. Some failed experiments drove him to despair. From a genius scientist to a crazy quack in the blink of an eye. After the death of his wife he retired to a monastery and became deeply religious. Stories came out. According to tradition, he tried to complete his medicine through Christian and even satanic rituals until his last days. His young daughter broke off all contact as a result and was never heard from again.
Today he is buried in a tomb in the monastery where he spent his last days. His coffin is free to visit, as a kind of pilgrimage site for followers of his theories. Keep an eye on! The abbot of the monastery says there is a curse on the crypt. According to the abbot, the spirit of Professor Kempeneers only lets visitors out who can complete his life's mission.
